Description:
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, in the College of Arts & Sciences, at Baylor University invites applications for two full-time lecturer faculty positions beginning in August 2027. We seek collaborative educators with strong commitment to teaching excellence within psychology or neuroscience courses at the undergraduate level. We especially welcome applications from those who could serve as an instructor in two or more of the following courses: abnormal psychology, cognition, human development, introduction to neuroscience, introduction to psychology, learning and behavior, neuroscience research methods, and sensation and perception. This appointment is a renewable 9-month full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused position with a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a 12-year promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates (see: Policy on Full-Time Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, and Teaching Professors at Baylor University). Candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other nonimmigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field is required by the time of appointment. We prefer candidates with experience in undergraduate instruction as teacher of record and who can contribute to teaching courses of need within the department.
