About the Opportunity

This position will provide academic support for the instructor in Principles of Macroeconomics. Responsibilities may include assisting the course instructor with grading and course preparation, providing office hours for students, leading recitation sections, assisting with lectures, running workshops or study sessions, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have strong subject matter knowledge in economics as demonstrated by performance in economics courses.
BA/BS graduates, current Master's students or Master's degree graduates in Economics preferred, as is prior experience being a teaching assistant or peer tutor for introductory Economics courses.

Rationale as to why a student can't do the work:

A Grader is sought to support the instructor of Neha Dave in Principles of Macroeconomics on the Oakland campus. The role requires a background in economics and absence of an economics graduate program on the campus necessitates a search beyond the student population.

Hourly pay rate: $20
